
New Delhi, March 6, 2025 – The IP Startup Ecosystem of Indraprastha College for Women successfully organized a two-day Startup Bootcamp on March 5th and 6th, 2025, aimed at fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among students. The event, held from 10 AM onwards, brought together aspiring entrepreneurs, industry experts, and esteemed academicians for insightful discussions and hands-on learning.
Day 1: Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp
The first day of the bootcamp focused on an “Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp”, inaugurated in the presence of Principal Ms. Poonam Kumria, guest speaker Mr. Raghav Sharma, Founder of Skillonation EdTech, and Ms. Nikita Pasan, Nodal Officer. The event commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by the University Kulgeet and the felicitation of distinguished guests.
Ms. Poonam Kumria, a constant source of inspiration, has always been deeply inclined toward fostering a startup culture among students. Her unwavering support and proactive efforts in promoting entrepreneurial thinking and innovation at Indraprastha College for Women have been instrumental in shaping opportunities like this bootcamp.
Mr. Raghav Sharma conducted two engaging sessions, shedding light on key entrepreneurial concepts such as the Business Model Canvas, user persona development, effective pitching techniques, and refining the problem pitch. His insights provided students with a strong foundation for building and presenting their startup ideas.
Day 2: Startup Pitching Competition & Valedictory Session
The second day featured the “Valedictory Session and Startup Pitching Competition”, where student teams presented their innovative business ideas to a panel of industry experts. The distinguished jury included Mr. Raghav Sharma, Mr. Ayush Goyal, Founder of Induckt VC and Ingrow VC Accelerator, and Ms. Nikita Pasan.
Before the competition, Mr. Raghav Sharma led an in-depth session on the Business Model Canvas, providing practical strategies for structuring startup ideas. Following this, 14 teams participated in the highly competitive pitching session, each given five minutes to present their startup concepts.
After a rigorous evaluation process, the top three startup ideas were awarded exciting cash prizes and certificates of appreciation. All participants received certificates of participation, recognizing their dedication and effort.
The Startup Bootcamp concluded on a high note, offering students a valuable platform to explore entrepreneurship, engage with industry experts, and refine their business ideas. The event was widely regarded as a resounding success, fostering innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurial thinking among young minds.
